It's been a while.....

Really.... it's been a while since my last post... but I have a good escuse or a good reason for... 
Since last march 2016 Me and my wife are living in Canada! From Brazil to Canada!!!!
And let me tell you.... It's not easy change your whole life.... sometimes it's hard to left all behind but it's worth.... 
Since my last post a loooong time ago I painted a few acriclics but a lot, I mean a lot of illustrations....
Yeah! Illustrations.... that's where everything started... with my drawings at school....
So, let me show my few paintings, actually 2 on canvas, one vase and a moose head!  and a lot of my illustrations and sketches....
I promisse to update my blog at least once a week from now! Ok fellows?

Tulips! Ottawa is know as a Capital of Tulips! And they are beautiful!!!

For years I didn't painted an abstract... so...

As you can see, I'm back to the caricatures! since I was a teenager I didn't do so many caricatures... friends, hockey players, the mayor of Ottawa, my two Pastors here in Canada, the PM Trudeau....

 

Well, for now it's enough..... but I do have a thousand more to show to you!

A Garota Estilosa - The Fancy Girl

Essa tela surgiu de um antigo desenho meu, que fazia desde a epoca da faculdade.
Resolvi finalmente colocar essa ideia na tela, caprichando nos detalhes.
O resultado me agradou bastante, e a tela tem um tamanho ótimo: 120 cm x 80 cm.
Acrilico sobre tela, como sempre!

This painting came from an old drawing of mine.
I decided to finally put this idea on the screen.
The result pleased me a lot, and the canvas has a great size: 120 cm x 80 cm.
Acrylic on canvas, as always!

Tocando a Guitarra - Playing The Guitar

Há alguns meses postei a guitarra que pintei, agora coloco alguns videos dela sendo tocada pelo guitarrista Márcio Armoa.... como podem ver o som dela é lindo!!!

A few months ago I posted the guitar that I have painted, now I put some videos of it being played by guitarist Márcio Armoa .... as you can see the sound from her is gorgeous !!!

Tempo Ruim 2 - Bad Weather 2

Essa era uma tela que tinha terminado mas não estava muito contente com o resultado, então resolvi que deveria fazer mais alguma coisa com ela.
Na verdade já sabia o que fazer mas não encontrava os meios certos para colocar na tela os riscos que queria.
Então lembrei de um jogo de canetas sharpie que comprei numa recente viagem.
Pesquisei bastante sobre a durabilidade dela se riscada numa tela.
Tudo ok, parti para a ação e o resultado me agradou mais que o esperado.
Tamanho: 100 cm x 80 cm

This canvas I had finished but I was not very happy with the result, so I decided I should do something else with it.
In fact I already knew what to do but I could not find the right way to put on the risks that I wanted.
Then I remembered of a set of sharpie pens I bought on a recent trip.
I researched a lot about the durability of it is scratched on a canvas.
Everything ok, I went into action and the result pleased me more than expected.

Garota de Praia - Beach Girl

Estava com uma tela em branco bem comprida, com 2 metros por 60 centímetros, e sabia que tinha que fazer um desenho proporcional.
Veio a ideia de pintar uma garota na praia, bem morena e com longos cabelos loiros.
Os prédios atrás queria diferentes, então lembrei dos prédios de Miami no estilo art-deco.
O jogo de cores e sombras ficou do meu agrado.
Gostei bastante do resultado final!

I had a whole white screen, with two meters by 60 centimeters, and I knew I had to make a proportional design.
Came the idea to paint a girl on the beach, tanned, with long blond hair.
I wanted different buildings, so I remembered the Miami buildings in art-deco style.
The combination of colors and shadows was pretty cool.
I quite liked the end result!

Perpétuo Socorro - Holy Virgin Mary

Mais uma vez recebi a encomenda de pintar a Virgem Maria, a Nossa Senhora Perpétuo Socorro.
Como já tinha pintado uma, parti para um novo desenho mas mantendo as minhas características.
De novo foi uma tela enorme, 2 metros por 1 metro.
Caprichei nos detalhes das sombras e cores e o resultado me agradou muito.

Once again I received the order to paint the Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
As I had already painted one, I went into a new design but keeping my characteristics.
Again it was an enormous canvas, two meters by one meter.
The details of the shadows and colors pleased me a lot.

Guitarra - The Guitar

Após pintar o ukulele, fiquei imaginando como ficaria uma pintura minha em uma guitarra, com um verniz profissional.
Fui surpreendido com uma proposta do maior luthier aqui de Campo Grande, MS, o mestre Vander Pinesso, da GRS Guitars. Ele me deu o corpo de uma stratocaster e mandou eu fazer o que me desse vontade!
E ficou assim a guitarra! Coisa linda demais!!!!

After painting the ukulele, I wondered how would be my painting on a guitar with a professional polish.
I was surprised by a proposal for the greatest luthier here in Campo Grande, MS, master Vander Pinesso, from GRS Guitars. He gave me the body of a Stratocaster and told me to do what I wanted to !
And so this guitar was born! A pretty thing don´t you think? !!!!
